Faith that can hold
a hard question.

Most Nigerian young Christians inherit their faith. They grow up in it, are shaped by it — but when the real questions arrive, from a classmate, a lecturer, a late-night argument on social media, they find themselves without the tools to respond. Not because the faith is insufficient. Because no one ever taught them how to think inside it.

SabiGod was built to close that gap. It is a gamified learning platform that meets you where the questions actually live — in the texture of Nigerian life, in the university classroom, in the moment a friend says "that Bible was written by men." It does not offer easy answers. It builds the kind of conviction that holds.

The name says it simply. Sabi — pidgin for know, understand, comprehend. God — the one the whole journey is about. Sabi God.

Questions Worth Asking

From inherited faith
to owned conviction.

SabiGod is not a quiz app. It is a formation pathway — a structured journey through the questions that matter most, scaffolded by theology, anchored in African Christian thought, and designed to move you from where you are to where you need to be.

01
Curious

You have questions. Some of them make you uncomfortable. This is where we start — not with answers, but with the courage to ask. The doubt you carry is not your enemy.

02
Rooted

You are learning to read Scripture as a unified story, not a collection of quotes. You are beginning to see how theology, history, and reason hold together — and hold up.

03
Grounded

You can give a reason for the hope within you. Not a rehearsed script — a lived understanding. You are equipped to engage, defend, and most importantly, to keep digging.

Inherited Faith → Owned Conviction

Built different.
By design.

Gamified Formation

Utilizing game elements — not as gimmicks, but as scaffolding. Each interaction is designed to build retention and reward depth, not just completion.

Learn by doing

Apologetics First

SabiGod engages the questions Nigerian young people are actually asking — not curated devotionals, but honest confrontations with the toughest challenges to Christian faith.

Real questions

African Theological Voice

Grounded in African Christian scholarship — Bediako, Adeyemo, and others who have wrestled with exactly what it means to know God from this soil, in this language, in this moment.

Rooted here

Community Discourse

A space to debate, reflect, and question alongside others on the same journey. Moderated, substantive, and safe enough to say what you actually think.

Together

Adaptive Curriculum

Modules that meet you at your current stage and pull you forward. No arbitrary complexity — every step has a theological reason and a formation purpose.

Structured growth

Biblical Depth

Not verse-of-the-day spirituality. SabiGod works at the level of biblical theology — tracing how Scripture holds together as one story, from Genesis to Revelation.

Not devotional

SabiGod is not a finished product yet. Here is what we can tell you right now — and we will always tell you exactly where things stand.

SabiGod is a gamified faith formation and apologetics platform built specifically for Nigerian Christians aged 16–25. It is not a Bible app, not a devotional app, and not a quiz game. It is a structured learning journey designed to take you from inherited faith to owned conviction — equipping you to understand what you believe, why you believe it, and how to engage with the hardest questions your faith will face.
SabiGod is built primarily for Nigerian Christians between 16 and 25 — university students, young professionals, fellowship members — who have grown up in the faith but have never had the tools to wrestle seriously with the theological and philosophical questions that arise in everyday life. That said, anyone who wants to think more rigorously about their faith is welcome.
The core experience will be free. Formation should not have a price barrier. We are still working out the full sustainability model, but the guiding principle is that no one who genuinely wants to engage should be locked out by cost.
BibleProject is a content platform — exceptional content, but primarily passive. YouVersion is a Bible reading tool. SabiGod is an active formation system: gamified, interactive, apologetics-focused, and designed specifically from an African theological standpoint. No existing platform combines all of these, and none of them were built for the specific questions Nigerian young people face.
SabiGod is broadly evangelical Protestant in its theological commitments, with a strong emphasis on biblical authority and orthodox Christian doctrine. It draws on African Christian scholarship — particularly writers like Kwame Bediako and Tokunboh Adeyemo — to ensure the theological framing is genuinely rooted in African Christian thought, not simply a Western framework imported whole.
Beta access is planned for Q1 2027. We are currently in the foundational research and prototype phase — building the theological content architecture, user-testing core concepts, and ensuring the product genuinely serves its purpose before it scales. We would rather be late and right than early and hollow.
It is built for Nigerians first — the cultural context, the specific questions, the language, the theological references are all shaped by that. But the faith questions being asked in Lagos are being asked in Nairobi, Accra, and London too. If it works here, it will travel.
